A place that takes its time
Coopers Coop On The Avenue opened its doors in 2010 with a simple conviction: that a café and a bar should both be places worth lingering at. Not a coffee shop that rushes you out, and not a bar that serves drinks in a hurry. Something slower. Something with intention.
We source our coffee from roasters who treat the bean with respect, and our cocktail program is built around seasonal ingredients and proper technique. The same care goes into every pour — whether it's 8 a.m. or 8 p.m.
This is Brattleboro's main street, and we're proud to be part of it. Come sit a while.

The Space
Comfortable by design
We designed Coopers Coop to feel like a place you'd actually want to stay — not a place you visit between things. Comfortable seating, good lighting, music you can think over, and a pace that doesn't rush you.
By day it's a coffee bar with room to work or read. By night it transforms into a relaxed cocktail lounge. The same walls, the same warmth, a different rhythm.
